Windows Update may attempt to reinstall KB918899 periodically. To prevent this:

1. In the Windows Control Panel, select SecurityCenter:
   
   
2. Select Automatic Updates: 
   
   
    
3. Select Automatic:
   
   
   
4. When Windows prompts to install updates:
   
   
   
5. Select Custom Install: 
   
   
    
6. Ensure KB918899 is not selected:
   
   
   
7. When prompted, indicate that Windows should not recommend these updates again:
